I chose this rating because right from page 1 it cought my attention. There were events going on thought out the book. The characters was so lively that it was amazing. It also had some sad moments as well. Yes I enjoy and like this book very much. It got right down to the point and she wrote with a good story line and she also had all of information togather. I really hope she continue writting because I think that she has a great futrue ahead of her. I would recommend this book to all my friends or to any one who would be interested in learning how a young woman who made it from being abuse most of her childhood and survive. Good Read!
I have read this book , Its great reading waiting for book no. 2 its easy to read as well as .
The story was well written. I especially liked how descriptive it was. This book is filled with sadness, hard times, sensuality and a bit of humor. I was very pleased that it had a positive ending..can't wait for the next chapter!
This book is short as well as easy reading. The author did a terrific job developing the characters. A book about triumph in the midst of obstacles. A life journey from child to adulthood. We want more from this author!! Is this the next Terry McMillan? Hopefully she continues the story line in the next book.
This story kept me reading thru the twists and turns. It had deep emotions and was thought provocative..... How would I handle the situations? I will look for other stories from this writer.

On the surface this short story is easy reading that becomes a can't put this book down until it's finished, which is how I read it. This story may give voice to people experiencing similar circumstances. It suggests hope and opportunity for discussion on subjects seldom brought to light or talked about. If it is read as entertainment, there certainly are some surprises in store for everyone who reads this 1st book by the author. I'm looking forward to more of Burnadette A. Richards' storytelling.
